PRESS: Lukoil can buy Shell's gas stations in Russia

MOSCOW, May 6 (PRIME) -- Shell is close to selling its gas station business in Russia with about 370 outlets to Lukoil, Forbes reported late on Thursday citing sources.

"Several players were looking for the Shell business, including Lukoil," the magazine reported citing a source. An official of the Russian office of Shell said that Lukoil was seen as the main contender.

A source said that Shell would sell all gas stations with the staff and on condition that the buyer will keep on paying salaries until the end of 2022. A source also said that Shell was considering selling a lubricant plant with its 9 billion ruble debt in the framework of the deal.
